Gerrard side lost to Liverpool

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard returned to Anfield losing to the home

side by one goal as Liverpool chasing behind just only one point by the

leader Man City after beating Villa in the Premier League.

Since arriving from Rangers to take charge of Aston Villa,

Gerrard managed  his side to win three out of first four games for Villa side,

but things seemed  not go as planned when his team visit Liverpool at

Anfield and beaten by the host by one goal.

In the 67 minute of second half, Tyrone Mings made a foul on Mohamed

Salah and the referee gave the penalty to Liverpool,

the Egyptian scoring the  spot kick in a superb strike to give the Reds lead

one goal ahead at Anfield.
