Rio de Janeiro called off the festival of carnival street parade because of the

outbreak over Omicron.

The authorities of the nation in Brazil said on Tuesday that next month

there will be no celebration like the years before due to the surge of Covid

19 cases cause by spreading the new virus of Omicron variant into the

country.

It is two years in a row that the ceremony can not be attended which was

organized to celebrate every early year between February to March.

The last time that the street carnival took place was in 2020, because at that

occasion there were still no pandemic of the coronavirus happen yet but

soon after that everything seemed to change a lot by the following

year of 2021, the vicious disease of Covid 19 spread all over the places and it

prevents all of the sport events have to be delayed in order to curb this

serious virus.

The Brazilian government already said that there will be no celebrating

festival of carnival street parade in 2022 due to the spike of Omicron

variant.
